A stabbing at a Kinston convenience store is the second crime there in the past two weeks and has the worker who runs the store considering leaving the area because of all the crime.

Thursday's stabbing at the Fast Lane store was captured on surveillance. In the video you can see two cars parked outside as the suspect walks from a red car towards a black one and then reaches in. That's when lawmen say he stabbed the victim. The suspect was later arrested.

It was just last Wednesday when store worker Vimal Patel had to fight off a robber with a step-ladder.

Patel says the crimes have him concerned for his family who works at the store with him. "A lot of people in the neighborhoods are concerned because it keeps on happening so quick, they are saying it's getting bad in Kinston."

Patel says he's worked at the store for a year and a half and never had problems before. He says he is now considering leaving.
