A stabbing at a Kinston convenience store lands a man in jail.
Kinston police say it happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fast Lane convenience store on West Vernon Avenue.
Police say Jamaal Quinerly of Grifton was stabbed in the chest and airlifted to Vidant Medical Center.
Police say a short time later there was an attempted stabbing at Sanderson Farms on Highway 70. That's where officers arrested Kee Kee Murphy of Greenville.
Murphy is charged with the attempted murder of Quinerly. He's being held in the Lenoir County Jail under no bond.
