Troopers say two people have been charged in a fatal hit & run that happened Sunday morning.
Charged with felony hit and run and driving while license revoked is Jamal Johnson of Stantonsburg, while Rosa Cerna has been charged with aiding and abetting felony hit and run.
Killed while he was walking along U.S. 258 in Greene County was Jimmy Suggs of Snow Hill.
Both Johnson and Cerna were put in jail on $25,000 secured bonds.
Troopers are asking for the public's help in finding the driver involved in a deadly hit and run accident Sunday morning.
The Highway Patrol says around 4:30 a.m. a pedestrian was killed on Highway 258 near Browntown Road in Greene County.
Troopers say a vehicle heading north hit 36-year-old Jimmy Suggs of Snow Hill. The man died later at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Their preliminary investigation shows Suggs walked into the path of the vehicle, so troopers are unsure why the driver left the scene.
