Greene County has come a long way since last April's tornadoes devastated homes and schools but there are still reminders of that terrifying day.
A home on Middle School Road in Snow Hill remains in the same condition it was following last year's tornado. The tornado ripped off its roof and gutted the inside of the house.
While many properties have been cleared of debris and homes have been repaired or rebuilt, neighborhood residents say this house serves as one of many reminders of what they survived.
Debbie Mooring says, "You still find a piece of siding or a piece of shingle whatever. And sometimes I don't even know if it was at our house or it blew here, and it does bring it back. But then again I always say to myself, it could have been worse."
Mooring says she and her husband are still replacing fencing on their property but have otherwise recovered from the storm.
