A project to improve traffic flow around Lenoir Community College starts Monday.
The N.C. Department of Transportation says the resurfacing project will last through Thursday and will add three turning lanes on N.C. 58 near Lenoir Community College in Kinston on the stretch of highway between the community college and south of Collier-Loftin road. Turn lanes will be added for a new driveway for the college, the ramp to U.S. 70 East, and Collier-Loftin Road. D.O.T. says no detour is needed, but the road will be closed to a single lane at times.
