Two youngsters were disciplined at school after they were found with pocket knives this morning.
Kinston police say it happened at Northeast Elementary School on Highway 11.
Police say one student is an eight year old, while the other is nine.
Lenoir County Schools says the weapons were apparently brought to school to show off. A student who saw one of the knives reported it to a teacher.
Officers seized the weapons, but did not arrest the children. Police say there was no threat, and the school system says both students have been disciplined according to their student code of conduct.
