Police say a man who was shot in the arm Wednesday afternoon is not cooperating with their investigation.
Kinston police say shortly after 3:00 p.m. they received a shots fired call in the area of 705 Marilyn Drive.
They say a short time later, Rashawn Franklin arrived at Lenoir Memorial Hospital's emergency department with a gunshot wound to his right arm.
Police say the gunshot wound is not life threatening, and their investigation is continuing.
Franklin is a convicted felon, according to state records. The 19 year old was convicted in 2011 of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He was also convicted in 2013 of possession of a firearm by a felon.
