Murder Suspects Due In Court

The suspects in the murders of a US Marshall and another man last summer are due in court Thursday morning.

Lamont Byrd, Maretto Byrd, Kion Dale and Devine Slade are all scheduled to make appearances in Lenoir County Superior Court Thursday morning. They're charged with the murder of Nash County Deputy Warren Lewis, who had been working with the US Marshals Service in Kinston the evening he was fatally shot.

Lawmen were trying to arrest the suspects for the murder of Thomas Hinton that happened a week earlier in Kinston. We'll let you know what happens in court today.
