A Pink Hill man is dead after his vehicle ran off the road and landed upside down in a pond.
The Highway Patrol says William Usher was killed in the 1:00 a.m. crash on Murphy Road, that's east of Pink Hill.
Trooper W.K. Bennett says the 25-year-old man's vehicle ran off the road to the right tin a sharp curve, he over-corrected onto the road and then ran off the left side. His vehicle struck a culvert, flipped and landed in the pond. Bennett says Usher was not wearing a seat belt and he died at the scene.
Troopers do not know if alcohol was a factor in the accident.
