After asking for assistance from the public, the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office says that it has caught up with a breaking & entering suspect.
Officials say that deputies arrested 23-year-old Anthony Dawson of LaGrange. Wooten was said to have been found hiding behind a door in a room early Saturday morning, following a search of a residence by LaGrange Patrol Deputies.
Dawson has been charged with 2 counts of felony breaking and entering, 2 counts of larceny after breaking and entering, resist/obstruct/delay, damage to property and was served with child support warrants from Lenoir and Wayne County.
Dawson has been locked up in the Lenoir County Sheriff's Detention Center under a $75,900 bond.
The Sheriff's Office says that it is very thankful for the information that was provided by the community.
The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office is looking for one home break-in suspect and arrested another Tuesday.
A deputy investigating a house break-in says he was able to nab a suspect in another home break-in when a witness flagged him down in LaGrange.
The sheriff's office says bystander told the deputy about seeing two people breaking into another house. The deputy saw the two running down the street and was able to apprehend 19-year-old Thomas Mason of Lagrange. He is charged with felony breaking and entering. Additional charges are pending.
