A Kinston convenience store was robbed early this morning, the second time in less than a month.

The Marathon Oil on North Queen Street in Kinston was robbed around 1:35 a.m. this morning by a masked armed man. The gunman took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and ran toward Pierce Road.

He is described as a light skinned black man, wearing light colored pants, black hooded jacket, wire rimmed glasses, and wearing blue latex gloves and his face covered with a surgical-type mask.

On March 20th the same business was robbed after a man jumped over the counter and grabbed money out of the cash register. No one has been arrested in either robbery.
