Kinston City Council Approves Budget
The Kinston City Council passed a $95 million budget Tuesday night, according to the Kinston Free Press.
The paper reports a 5 percent sewer rate increase and a 7 percent water rate increase. There are no property tax or electric rate increases in the new budget.
Several new jobs will be added to the city workforce in the upcoming fiscal year, the paper reports.
