Two people have been arrested after a heroin operation involving several local law enforcement agencies.
The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office, along with Kinston Police, New Bern Police, and the Craven County Sheriff's Office arrested Lorenza Peacock II and Laquana Sanders, both of Goldsboro.
Peacock is facing several charges, including trafficking heroin and felony eluding arrest. He's in jail under a $576,500 bond.
Sanders has been charged with trafficking and maintaining a vehicle for heroin. She is jailed under a $250,000 bond.
During the heroin operation, an undercover officer with the Craven County Sheriff's Office made the purchase of 5 bricks of heroin, or 250 bindles, from Peacock. Sanders was also in the car.
