A Grifton man accused of robbery and multiple other charges landed himself behind bars Sunday evening.
Greenville Police arrested 25-year-old Hiakeem Rice a little before 10 p.m. Sunday for common law robbery, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and second degree kidnapping.
Greenville Police spokeswoman Kristen Hunter says the victim told officers she was walking home near Concord Drive when the suspect grabbed her and took about $900 from her pocket.
The victim says the same person forced his way into her house with a gun the night before and told her to give him money. The victim says she ran to a bathroom and the robber left without taking anything.
Hunter says the first robbery attempt was not reported until after the second robbery happened.
Records on Rice show several drug convictions and one assault on a female.
Rice is being held in jail under a $500,000 bond.
