Greene County Murder Case Continued

Two suspects charged in the August 2009 double murder of two Greene County men, will not head to court Friday morning as scheduled.

The Greene county Clerk of Courts, says 30-year-old Maurice Wesley and 19-year-old Robert Lee Smith Jr. have not been formally indicted for the murders of 26-year-old Antwan Cox and 24 year old James Cox. Wesley and Smith are charged with two counts of murder.

Court Officials say until the District Attorney files the Bill of indictment, the case will not go before a judge.

A new court date has been set for January 7, 2011

The Cox brothers went missing back in August of 2009 and found weeks later when sheriff's deputies came upon a old hog farm operation off knox school road and discovered the frame of a charred vehicle with two bodies inside.

The Medical Examiner's report says the two were burned so badly they could not determine cause of death.
