Greene County 'Dollar General' Robbed; 3rd Dollar General Robbery In As Many Days

Another Dollar General in the east has fallen prey to armed robbers.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office says that the Dollar General at 6624 Highway 13 South in the community of Shine was robbed Sunday night.
Sheriff Lemmie Smith says that 2 masked men entered the store around 9:06 p.m. armed with a handgun.

The men were able to get away with an undetermined amount of cash and fled in the direction of Goldsboro, according to officials.

There were no injuries.

If you recognize the men in the surveillance photos, you’re asked to call 911.

Dollar General stores were also held up in Vanceboro and Lagrange.
