An anonymous tip led deputies to an indoor marijuana grow operation and forty plants seized.
Lenoir County deputies charged Clarence Davis III of Grifton with manufacturing marijuana, possess with the intent to sell/deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies say Davis was arrested Thursday night. They initially found the windows of the home blacked out with tarps and blankets as well as several surveillance cameras outside.
After getting permission to search the home, they found the grow operation in two bedrooms. The plants were from one to three feet high with a lighting system rigged up.
Davis was released after posting a $12,000 bond.
