Elderly Woman Pushed Down & Robbed
A Kinston woman has been arrested for pushing down and robbing an elderly Goldsboro woman who was in the process of giving her money for food.
Jennifer Rouse is charged with common law robbery after her arrest in Wilmington.
Goldsboro police say an 87-year-old woman was eating at Andy's Restaurant on Highway 111 South on September 1st when she went to the restroom and was approached by a young woman asking to borrow some money.
Police tell us as the victim was giving her the money, the woman pushed her down and grabbed the elderly woman's wallet. Employees chased the robber and were able to get valuable information about her.
The victim received minor injuries in the robbery. The 29-year-old Rouse was arrested last week was jailed on a $5,000 secured bond.
