Wednesday was day two of signing up for the Affordable Health Care Act, and throughout North Carolina, no one has been able to do so.
Jessica Byrd was trying to do that in Snow Hill in Greene County and says, "It's really frustrating, especially when you call the 1-800 number and talk to somebody there and they say I'm sorry, keep trying."
Sharron Moten is an enrollment specialist in Snow Hill and says, "The system is not working. And in order for consumers to do the application process, they have to create an account and we have not been able to get into the system at all."
Moten says over 3 million people nationwide have been trying to sign up, which she believes has sort of overloaded the database.
Moten says once the system is back up and running people could also be enrolled over the phone with an enrollment specialist like herself, answering different questions about things like age, gender, social security number and income.
