Deputies said a checkpoint lead to a marijuana bust in both a vehicle and the driver's home.
Lenoir County deputies said they set up a traffic checkpoint at Will Baker Road on Saturday when they met with 60-year-old Jimmy Britt.
Investigators said during the initial stop, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the trunk of the car.
Deputies said once they popped the trunk, that is where they found four, 10-pound packages of marijuana.
Investigators got a search warrant for Britt's home where they say they found another 6-pounds of pot along with what deputies say is $10,000 in drug money.
Britt was arrested on drug trafficking charges and put in the Lenoir County Jail under a $55,000 bond.
