An estranged husband is accused of shooting at his wife and her friend Wednesday night at her home.
Norman Rich, Jr. is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, assault on a female, breaking and entering, assault by pointing a gun and domestic criminal trespass.
Lenoir County deputies says Rich and his wife are separated and living apart. They say Rich came to his wife's home on Highway 258 North last night around 8:00 p.m. to confront her and her friend. According to deputies, Rich forced his way inside and shot at Bridgette Rich and Ronald Rouse. Neither was hit and the two managed to escape and call 911 from a friend's home.
Rich turned himself in at the jail and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
