The fire at Kinston Neuse Corp is now under control. Some crews are still on the scene getting smoke out of the building.
Crews responded around 6 a.m. to a structure fire at the Kinston Neuse Corp at 2000 Dobbs Farm Rd. in Kinston. Lenoir emergency services director Roger Dail said the fire is out but crews are still on the scene getting smoke out of the building.
Dail said the fire was caused by a machine that is used to draw in smoke from the welding units. He said something caused the machine to catch fire and crews quickly had it under control.
Dail said employees at KNC should be able to return to the building shortly.
