There is new information in the case of a local judge who was charged with DWI in November.
Greene County officials say drug tests came back this month, and Judge Lonnie Carraway had traces of prescription drugs in his system.
Greene County officials say there were traces of Amitriptyline and Zolpidem. Both drugs can be used to treat insomnia. The judge has told media outlets he suffers from sleep issues.
Officials have not confirmed if Carraway had prescriptions for the drugs. His next court date is March 30.
Carraway is a district court judge for Lenoir, Wayne and Greene Counties. He is currently not hearing any DWI cases.
