Two people were airlifted after a multiple vehicle wreck on Highway 70 in Lenoir County.
Highway Patrol says shortly before 1:00 a.m. one vehcile slammed into a car broken down and partially in the roadway in La Grange. Troopers say it was foggy and the broken down car was smoking.
The vehicle that ran into the disabled car rolled several times and was later hit by another car.
EastCare flew two people to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Troopers say their injuries are non-life threatening.
The Department of Transportation closed Highway 70 near Foss Farm Road in both directions due to the collision. It has since reopened.
At this point no one has been charged in the wrecks.

The DOT has closed Highway 70 near Foss Farm Road in both directions around 1:45 am, due to the collision. Highway 70 has since been reopened.
