A yearly search for marijuana growing operations in the state turned up one in our area, now two men are facing charges.
Lenoir County deputies say they found 21 marijuana plants at 1975 Neuse Rd. just outside the eastern city limits of Kinston. Deputies say had not matured yet but would have had an eventual street value of $105,000.
The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office arrested two men who live at the home: 37-year-old Michael Hood and 33-year-old Eric Hood. Michael Hood is charged with manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances. Eric Hood is charged with possession of cocaine.
According to the sheriffs office, these arrests were made in early June.
