Spirit Spin-Off Jobs Coming To TransPark

The first spin-off jobs from Spirit AeroSystems are coming to the Global TransPark.

DB Schenker has signed a 5-year lease for one half of a warehouse at GTP and expects to eventually fill as many as 40 full-time jobs.

The company, headquartered in New York, is a third-party logistics supplier for Spirit. The company will occupy space in the building known as GTP 2. Schenker does similar work for Spirit at its Wichita site.

Spirit held its grand opening for a 500,000 square foot manufacturing facility on July 1 and has begun manufacture of fuselage sections and wing spars for the Airbus A350XWB airliner.

About $250,000,000 spent so far and not quite the 50,000 jobs orginally estimated, where can we get more winners like this?

The Republicans hate to read stories about new jobs in the area, they like to have issues to complain about. If it was a story about a job closing, this story would be filled with negative comments. Give credit where credit is needed.
