One city in the east is dealing with railroad construction around some of its busiest streets to help reduce the time motorists have to wait for trains to go by.
Norfolk Southern is currently upgrading the railroad that passes through the middle of Kinston. The renovations will allow the trains to move through the area quicker.
Construction got underway on North Herritage street Tuesday afternoon and will soon move to Queen street where the road will have to be shutdown for a few days.
