Kinston Trooper's Firing Upheld By Judge

The firing of a state trooper from Kinston has been upheld by a Superior Court judge.

Ronald Ezell, Jr. was fired after he showed a teller at the State Employees Credit Union an obscene picture in October 2008.

The State Personnel Commission upheld his firing last August and Wake County Judge Carl Fox recently ruled that he found no error in Ezell's firing.

Ezell was a helicopter pilot with 19 years with the Highway Patrol.

Does that mean the ticket he gave is not valid now?

What I want to know is did he do it at the drive through window? And if so, how did he do it? Because everytime I go there the window lane is closed and you are forced to deal thru the tube.

To Robert: I did visit that link. I finally got the information I was seeking about the content of the photo and the details surrounding the incident. I was very shocked, to say the least. I owe About... an apology. What is more disturbing to me was the type of image he passed to the teller; very creepy. I now believe firing was in not too harsh.

I am retired NCSHP and I am ashamed of the so called bad apples coming out now. NCSHP used to be one of the highest respected organizations. I believe this is why the media and citizens are all over it.I watch and sometimes hear thier comments about young women a lot of them have no respect , just watch thier eyes when a woman walks by they could at least have respect while in uniform. It's far from what it used to be.The ones that are in the news are just the ones being caught. In my opinion the good ones are just turning thier heads and looking the other way. I see that just as bad. There is absolutely no respect for what we used stand for. It's a shame.
