Fifteen Pounds Of Pot Seized, Two Arrested

Lenoir County deputies make a sizeable drug find Tuesday -- 15 pounds of pot and two arrests.

Working with the Greenville Drug Task Force, deputies bought the 15 pounds from the two at a home on Sapphire Drive.

Charged with trafficking marijuana by possession, trafficking marijuana for sale, by delivery and conspiracy to traffic marijuana is Jonathon Argueta and Abraham Carreno, both of Kinston.

Deputies say Argueta is an illegal immigrant who was previously deported in February. His bond was set at $150,000 while Carreno's bond is $60,000.

Being an ex drug user Im glad to say that im glad to see they are busting dealers and taking the drugs of the street. Drugs are BAD and do things to you, you just could not think of and take you places you don't want to go. So if you have never done them DON"T, RUN FROM ANY DRUG. As for the cops. A BIG THANKS YOU. Hope you BUST more.

I know ALL about it, trust me. I'm a fan of the stuff, but have NEVER touched ANYTHING else. It's the choices individuals make, plain and simple. Decriminalizing marijuana would be harmless. I would NEVER once say decriminalize ANY other drug. Look at prescription drugs. They are legal, to some, and they are FAR more harmful. I assure you Obama Snake Oil that I am VERY informed. Thanks anyways though! ;-)

Yes the police are on a roll. They are fighting to keep their jobs while the deficits mount. They will bust anyone, everyone they get a chance, no passes. But the economics are undeniable, police will be laid off after the government finishes gutting education. The nation cannot afford "The War on Drugs". But no one listens to me, I just watch the world turn.

LEGALIZE IT!!! Location: TAX IT!!! on Jun 18, 2010 at 08:37 AM, did you know George Soros wants all drugs decriminalized? Did you know he spends millions on lobbies to do just that? Did you also know, the lobby is looking for marijuana to be the wedge on the door for other drugs? I suggest you look it up on the internet and become informed, its not as innocently easy as you think.

Here we are again wasting so many resources and tax payer money on this. So much money is being wasted that could be pulled into the state form this true CASH CROP. It's beyond me what the big deal is with marijuana. Yes, it;s illegal and thats why you have so many issues with it. You legalize it, tax it, and you have both sides happy! But no, that just makes WAY too much sense.

Stan, certainly the police are on a roll, it's election year. No worries however, back to donuts and coffee after November.

What a waste of time and resources!! Thousands die because of alcohol every year. Zero deaths from pot!! It was made illegal because of propaganda(Randolph Hearst) and prejudice(congress) Look it up!! Time to legalize, tax, and regulate(like alcohol)!!!!
