Bikers Honor Fallen Officers

Law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty are being honored this week across the country and here in North Carolina as part of National Police Week.

Thursday, bikers with the statewide Fallen Officer Memorial Ride criss-crossed the east, paying tribute to the men and women who gave up their lives to protect others.

Motorcyclists rode into New Bern early Thursday morning flying flags with the names of fallen officers on them. The riders then made stops in Greenville and Kinston.

The motorcycle riders say they're attempting to visit all 100 NC counties for the first time.
