Troopers say a teenager who took them on a high speed chase last night through four different counties and 41 miles is now facing a slew of charges.
Trooper Matt Bryan says David Danielson, who is a 19-year-old Camp Lejeune marine has been charged with improper passing, reckless driving, 100 in a 45, along multiple other things.
Trooper Bryan says when he asked Danielson why he took off when a trooper tried to pull him over, Danielson said "I thought I could get away."
Troopers say Danielson went up to speeds of 152 miles per hour during the chase.
They say Danielson didn't sustain any injuries after the chase ended when he tried to make a U-turn and ended up running into a parked highway patrol car.
Authorities are on the scene right now of an accident where they say a motorcyclist hit a law enforcement car.
Highway Patrol says it all started before 7 Friday night after a trooper tried to pull a motorcyclist over.
Troopers say he wouldn't pull over and that's when the chase began in Onslow County.
The chase went into, Duplin County, Lenoir County, then into Jones County and then back into Lenoir County again where troopers say the motorcyclist hit the trooper's car on Highway 70 and 258.
