School Seeks Help To Get Money

One school is after some money it says it's owed and is now asking for help to get it.

The Kinston Charter Academy school says the Lenoir County Board of Education owes it about $833,000 thousand dollars from the per pupil share of the county's current and local expense fund - money that's mandated to charter schools by law.

The school is now asking state representatives to compel the board of education to turn over the money.

School officials have previously told us that it was a legal matter and it would be handled in the court system.
