Tip Leads To Meth Arrests

Two men face charges for making meth.

The Lenoir County Sheriffs Office arrested 38-year-old Xavier Salgado of Kinston and 23-year-old Michael Strickland of Deep Run after deputies got a tip they might be running the drugs from Goldsboro to Kinston.

Sunday Deputies nabbed the two and a woman, Crystal Bell, who hasn't been charged yet. The three were on Highway 258 when deputies stopped them near the Bethel School.

Deputies found the components to make meth in the car and later found out the three had started preparations to cook meth at Bell's Burn Coat Road home in Deep Run.

Salgado and Strickland are both being held in the LC Jail under a $100,000 bond.
