UPDATE: Restaurant May Be A Total Loss

Fire crews now have the blaze at the Family Restaurant in Pink Hill under control, but the damage looks severe. The restaurant is located
at 305 Front St. in the Lenoir County town of Pink Hill.

Lenoir County Emergency Services Director Roger Dail says the damage is bad that the restaurant may be a total loss.

Dail says the fire was reported at 6:12 a.m. Friday. Five fire departments responded, including Pink Hill, Deep Run, Southwood, Potter's Hill and Albertson.

No injuries have been reported, and it's not clear what sparked the destructive blaze.
