A local businessman is dead after a fatal car crash. Perry "Mike" Lanier of Snow Hill in Greene County was killed in a wreck in Goldsboro around midnight Saturday.
Goldsboro Police say Lanier's car and a tow truck crashed near the on ramp at Berkeley Blvd. and US 70 in Goldsboro. The tow truck was assisting a stranded motorist. Police say they are still investigating the accident.
Lanier's obituary says he was the owner of Lanier Tree Service. The Snow Hill man was 45 years old and is survived by his wife and daughter. He was a graduate of North Lenoir High School.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home in La Grange.
