GREENE COUNTY: Name Released Of Woman Killed In Fire

Fire investigators say a fire that claimed the life of an 87-year-old woman is believed to accidental.

Killed in the Wednesday afternoon blaze in Snow Hill was Ethel Lewis. Relatives say the woman was alone when the blaze broke out, though her two great-grandchildren, who also lived in the Carver Drive home, arrived home from school right after the blaze broke out.

Emergency Management says the fire started in the kitchen and they have been able to rule out an electrical problem.
