A Jamaican restaurant the city of Kinston says was a magnet for crime was torn down Tuesday.
The Stop One was bought by the Pride of Kinston last year. The property was purchased as part of a revitalization plan in Kinston to improve the look of South Queen street and cut down on crime.
The Stop One had seen multiple shootings over the years, including one that injured seven people.
When we spoke to the operators of the restaurant in December they said they were devastated by the demolition.
