FIRST ON WITN: Deadly Thanksgiving Day Fire In Lenoir County

A Thanksgiving morning fire has turned deadly in Lenoir County. Family members tell WITN News that the fire may have started because of a turkey being cooked.

Emergency management officials say the fire was on Robert E. Lee Drive, that's off of Neuse Road.

Relatives say Gene Baysden died in the fire. They say the 65-year-old man was supposed to fix the family's turkey for their Thanksgiving dinner.
