Man Accused Of Killing His 2-Pound Dog

A man is accused of killing his dog Monday afternoon, a dog that weighed just a two pounds.

Raymond Wallace of Walstonburg was arrested Monday by Greene County deputies. The dog was a Chihuahua.

The 20-year-old is charged with felony cruelty to animals. Animal control officers say around 12:15 p.m. Monday Wallace threw his dog against a wall and then beat it.

He was placed in the county jail on a $5,000 bond. Wallace's court date is November 20th.

He's involved with someone I care about and I know he is a convicted felon for beating a man mercilessly who has been left in a helpless state. Why is he getting away with these offenses? Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. He is putting bruises on his new girlfriend and she has a baby.

If you live in NC, especially Greene County, please contact the officials involved in this case and DEMAND that he be PUNISHED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. PLEASE. The next living thing he kills may be a child.

If ANY of you doubt the seriousness of this act, please go to There you can read about animal abuse and what it usually signifies for the CHILDREN and DOMESTIC PARTNERS of these abusers. If he did do it in front of a child, Social Services needs to get involved - IMMEDIATELY!

This for Question for animal lovers. Did someone throw you up against a wall and then beat you. If not, then too bad. Your comment was just plain stupid. YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID! As for the guy who beat his 2 lb. dog, may you get put in a jail cell with a animal lover named BUBBA.

Call me crazy, but if you take a life (regardless if its an animal) you should pay the consequences with yours whether it be in jail or literally with your life! This dog was a living breathing creature that should have been cared for and loved! It breaks my heart to think of what this dog went through. I have a 5 year old lab mix I got from the animal shelter and I swear if ANYONE ever touched my dog you'd have to tear me off of them! We all know animal abuse is a precursor to more violent crimes so why wait for him to kill a human! Or does it only matter to our judges and juries then! FRY HIM!

Where is the follow-up on this story. Why don't we ever see the outcome and the punishment given. Is it because there usually is NONE? I would also have charged him with mental abuse of that poor little 2 year old. Where is the REAL justice in this country? Every story is the same. We, as "the people" give our comments and we are treated like we are ignorant! Give the criminals back to the people and let US handle these cases. The judges that we elect have become WEAK and TIMID; apparently afraid of these stupid criminals.
