Boeing Passes On GTP For Second Time

Boeing has apparently passed on the Global TransPark in Kinston for the second time.

Boeing tells WITN News that it has narrowed its choices for a second 787 Dreamliner assembly plant to Charleston, South Caroina and Everett, Washington.

The TransPark was one of several sites Boeing was considering, according to Washington state officials.

The airplane manufacturer passed on the GTP in 2003 for another Boeing assembly plant that was built in Washington.

Last year GTP did land Spirit AeroSystems, which is building its plant that is expected to employ more than a thousand people.

Probably Felix Harvey wanted too much control and tried to dictate to what Boeing was going to do. Good job, Boeing!!!
