Three Car Accident Sends Five To The Hospital

A three car accident in Kinston sends 5 people to the hospital.

It happened around noon time at the intersection of Vernon and College Streets.

Police say an Eclipse was traveling at a high rate of speed when it slammed into the back of another car sitting at a light.

Police say the three people in the eclipse have all been treated and released.

Police did not know the status of the two people in the Lexus although they say it didn't appear that their injuries were life threatening

Certainly no problem with local slang ... every region has it and it's always fun to learn new words and meanings! Grammar, however, is another story ...

I agree, TP, Marty and Pitt Co should become teachers if they're not already. I understand the irritation with grammatical errors and typos but if you have a problem with local slang, move from the area!

Marty, good one! Where I'm from, a car 'stops' at the traffic signal. I think this is the same as 'mashing' a key on the keyboard versus 'pressing' the key on the keyboard. It just depends on the local slang. It is funny though ... visions of a car 'sitting'. Enjoy the day everyone. Or should I say "y'all"?
