Tryouts Held For "Eastern Carolina Has Talent"

Those looking to show off their vocal talents in the East had their chance today in Kinston.

Vernon Park Mall in Kinston played host this afternoon to tryouts for the approaching Eastern North Carolina's Got Talent fundraiser.

People from around the community belted out their best music renditions. Those that are selected will appear at the September 20th talent show where funds will benefit the nonprofit Foundation for Hospice--which provides financial aid to people dying of terminal illnesses.

Those still looking for a crack at the opportunity have one more chance at the Jacksonville Mall from 1 to 5 pm Sunday.
