Kinston Named Best Minor League Sports Market In NC

The city that's enjoying the success of being an All-America City this year has another line for its resume: top Minor League Sports Market in the state.

Kinston earned the honor from Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal this week.

The city that's home to Grainger Stadium and the minor league baseball team, the Kinston Indians, ranks high on the national list, too, at number 13.

The Kinston Indians are celebrating their 60th year at Historic Grainger Stadium. The Kinston Indians are a minor-league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

Wonderful- we are so lucky to have the opportunity to go to the games. It's great for young children to be a part of this and have in our area.

Kinston may not have alot here but the Indians are a good baseball team and anyone who says different hasn't been to a game. It's great fun and a great way for the community to come together. GO INDIANS!!!

Congratgulations Kinston! Apparently this guy posting the first comment sounds more like Mr. Grumpy, Mr. Horrible, or else Mr. Anti-NC.

With one of the most overrated and downright worst minor league teams in the country. Another feather in the cap of the "good ol' boys" that bought the All-American honor this year.
