Senator Kay Hagan spent some time in the east Monday talking health care reform.
The first term Democrat visited Lenoir Memorial Hospital for a brief tour of the facility's wellness center. She then spoke to doctors about President Obama's plan for health care reform.
The private meeting was one of several scheduled here in the east Monday. The senator has been under fire recently by critics who say she has been dodging public meetings such as town halls.
Hagan says, "I'm going around the state. I've got meetings set up to speak to numerous people, a lot of roundtables and also office hours that we'll be holding across the state for the next week and a half."
