160 people's jobs are in jeopardy.

This after William Barnet and son announced layoffs Wednesday at its Kinston facility.

Ray Deane, General Manager of the of manufacturing company said the company is in negotiations with its contractors, so right now, it's not known exactly how many people will lose their jobs.

The company had to give a 60 day notice that employees could lose their jobs.

Deane says he'll know more come August.

I have been working at Barnet for about 10yrs. In those years the company has been laying off people a little at a time.So its not about what Obama has done or is doing. The country has been in bad shape long before him. It will continue to be that way if the people cant come to a common ground on matters. He is not God he is just human like the rest of us. People need to stop blaming him for the things going on and get on their hands and knees to the only one who will be able to fix this country. GOD!!!

Jobs where being lost before Obama came into office, long before. Was he supposed to wave a magic wand and fix 8 yrs of waste and mistakes in 7 months. He really would be the Messiah if he could do that.

They should find out which of these 160 people voted for "hope and change" and ask them if they are going to do it next time. If they say they would then they are too dumb to have a job anyway. Nearly 600,000 more people lost their jobs this week. Unemployment is 9.5% after being promised by Obama no higher than 8%. Unemployment at a record level in the 90, largely Democrat controlled, major metro areas. Wake up people!!! You are doing it to yourself.

How tragic, but hey you wanted the "change" and you got it! The stimulus package is working Well isn't it! OG, if I understand what you wrote (???) they can't go to Baltimore or Philly as their unemployment numbers are climbing also (see other article posted on this site). But hey you got " da change!) Yo!

My heart goes out to all those affected by job losses. Thought the stimilus was to save all these jobs and fix the economy? Seems things have done nothing but get worse job loss wise. Now they say the health care bill will fix the economy? What more lies will they tell to take complete control of our lives.
