In light of the plant explosion in garner one of the victims from the West Pharmaceutical Plant in Kinston spoke out to WITN.
Jim Edwards was working at the time the plant exploded in January of 2003.
More than 63 percent of his body was burned and he went blind while in the burn center.
A total of six people died that day and nearly 40 people were injured.
The fire officials say the blaze started when a dust cloud ignited.
To this day it's not clear what source ignited the dust cloud.
