President Obama signed into law a 787 billion dollar package Tuesday and now Eastern Carolina and the nation is waiting to see exactly where all that money will go and if it will help.
Students at Greene Central High School listened as Congressman Butterfield spoke about that plan Wednesday.
Butterfield said major amounts of money would be going towards building infrastructure, education, and creating new jobs.
He explained to the students why he thought the massive amount of money was needed.
Congressman Butterfield said the money allotted from the law would go to the state first and that Governor Perdue would then be deciding where and who the money will be going to.
