A vacant old textile mill purchased by a local equine company last year will celebrate its opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the old textile mill on Highway 11 Friday in Kinston.
Horseware Products Limited purchased the mill in 2013 for just under $1 million, according to tax records, with plans of renovating it to combine two other stores.
The company, which manufactures and distributes horse blankets and equine products, already had locations in Kinston and LaGrange. Now those two facilities have moved into the Highway 11 location, becoming a much bigger facility.
The old plant has been sitting empty for over 10 years, but is now officially a Horseware Ireland Store.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be 1 p.m. at the former old textile mill on Highway 11 in Kinston.
