On the day we observe the birth of our nation, 25 people in Kinston celebrated the day they became US citizens. Judge James Denver III confirmed their citizenships.
"I think it's just a wonderful day to celebrate what it is to be an American and remember the many people who died for the cause," said new U.S. Citizen Katy Tsai.
This is the 8th annual nationalization ceremony at Harmony Hall, the location where the colonial capital was brought to Kinston from New Bern in 1777.
