Tarboro Makes It A Three-Peat With 39-36 Victory

The Tarboro Vikings won their third straight state championship by defeating Lincolnton 39-36 Saturday at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh.

Former WITN Player of The Week Todd Gurley rushed for 242 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Viking victory.

    CONGRATULATIONS VIKINGS! I spent 6 great years teaching at THS, and it is good place to be. My best wishes go to Jeff Craddock and the whole team. Way to go! Three state titles is an awesome achievement.

    I am so glad they won! The basketball program is gonna be awesome! They have a new young coach that knows basketball and knows it well! hmmmmmmm!
